How do I initiate an evaluation and/or therapy?

You can give us a call at (214) 843-1023 or you can fill out the contact information form on the Contact page. We will contact you and provide a free phone consultation to discuss your concerns and child’s specific needs. From that consultation, we will determine if an evaluation is beneficial or if you need additional referrals.

Where are you located?

We provide services out of a home office designed for children and fun therapy. We are located in Frisco, Texas near the Dallas Parkway and Eldorado.

What if I already have an assessment from another facility/therapist or through school?

We are happy to look over the previous assessment to determine if it has all of the information we would need to begin services. Typically, we do not need to do another assessment and may be able to start services right away.

What is the typical length of an evaluation session?

In order to provide the highest quality of care, we hold between 1 to 1.5 hours for an ST initial evaluation.

What is a typical therapy session and frequency?

Typically, our therapy sessions last for 30 minutes. The frequency of these sessions depends on the child’s needs. Sessions 4 to 8 times per month are common.

If my child requires therapy, how long will my child be in the therapy program?

The length of an individual therapy program depends on the type of disorder being treated, the child’s rate of progress during the therapy sessions, the frequency of attendance to recommended sessions, and the level of reinforcement at home and in school. Your therapist will be in constant communication with you regarding your child’s progress and mastery of therapy goals.

How do I know if speech therapy services are covered by insurance?

We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. If you have BCBS insurance, we will contact your insurance company prior to your first appointment and get a general quote; however, this quote does not guarantee coverage of services. Once claims have been filed, your insurance provider determines if they will cover services and/or allow claims to go towards a deductible. Prior to submitting a claim, it is important that you understand the coverage of your health insurance plan. Benefits can vary widely from one health plan to another. Speech, language and feeding therapy may or may not be covered by your insurance plan. So, it is important that you check directly with your insurance company to determine what therapy coverage is provided under your plan.

How do I submit “out of network” therapy services for reimbursement?

We will provide you with an invoice for therapy that you can submit to your insurance company. Our invoices contain information on the therapy diagnosis, treatment codes, session times, fees paid, and a description of services provided as well as information on our practice, ie, tax ID number, license number, etc.
